Michael Williams, Ph.D., SPHR

Dr. Michael Williams, Ph.D., SPHR, is the Dean of Touro College's Graduate School of Business. His professional background blends 25 years of executive level human resource management, organizational development, higher and public education teaching and administration, distance learning design and delivery, authorship, and consulting.

Dr. Williams received his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Fordham University; an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University; a Management Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania; Wharton School Business (Securities Industry Association); and, the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certificate from the Society of Human Resource Management. In addition, Dr. Williams holds a Masters degree in music performance and a Bachelor's degree in music education from the New England Conservatory of Music.

Dr. Williams has served as the Faculty Chair of the Human Resource Management, Leadership, and Organizational Development specialization in the Graduate School of Business and Technology at Capella University, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Learning for C3i, Inc. (Oracle Partner) and Vice President of Corporate Sales and Training for J.B. Hanauer & Co. ( Royal Bank of Canada) before coming to Touro College.

James Musumeci, Ph.D.

James Musumeci, Ph.D.

Dr. James Musumeci is the Director of the Touro Graduate School of Business. Dr. Musumeci has taught qualitative research courses at New York University and at ResearchTalk, a research consulting organization. He was a contributing author to Music Therapy Research. He has been involved in strategic development, communication workshops, and leadership development programs within non-profit organizations for over twenty years. Dr. Musumeci is past chair for the professional consultation committee for the Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare Systems, and was on the board of directors for the NY Metro chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Accreditation and Certification Committee for the USCCB. He holds a Master of Science in Human Resources and a Ph.D. in Business Education from NYU.

Lawrence Bellman, D.P.S.

Dr. Lawrence Bellman is an Associate Professor of Management and Director of the Entrepreneurial Institute, of the Touro Graduate School of Business. Dr. Bellman has previously taught courses in entrepreneurship, management, international business, and marketing at the graduate and undergraduate levels at Hofstra University, Pace University, and the Sy Syms School of Business of Yeshiva University. He also served as the Director of the Entrepreneurial Institute for Yeshiva University. Dr. Bellman received his doctorate in International Business from Pace University, and has published articles in Business Horizons, Journal of Entrepreneurial Education, and the Journal of the American Telemarketing Association. His current research interests include factors which attract undergraduates to entrepreneurship programs, brand revival opportunities, and improving field sales for effectiveness.

Gary Kleinman, Ph.D.

Dr. Gary Kleinman is a Full Professor of Accounting. He has previously taught in Kean University, Rutgers University, Drew University and Farleigh Dickinson University. His fields of expertise are corporate governance, auditor decisions, authorship ethics in academia, and auditing standards. Dr. Kleinman has published his scholarly research in The Journal of Financial Reporting and Compliance, ICFAI Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Research in Accounting Regulation, Journal of Pension Planning and Compliance, Managerial Auditing, The Journal of Applied Business Research and The CPA Journal. Dr. Kleinman's has been a recipient of grant funding from the National Center for Transportation and Industrial Productivity, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Coopers and Lybrand, and Farleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Kleinman received his MBA in finance and a doctorate in accounting from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.

Charles Snow, Ph.D.

Dr. Charles Snow is Full Professor of Accounting. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yeshiva University, and a Masters and Doctorate in Accounting from the Stern Graduate School of Business of NYU. Dr. Snow was previously Dean of the Sy Syms Schools of Business of Yeshiva University and was an acclaimed professor of accounting at the Sy Syms Business and at Baruch College, City University of New York. In addition to Dr. Snow's strong academic credentials, he is also fluent with the skills and training necessary to succeed in a corporate setting, having served as Vice President and Director of Training for Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. Dr. Snow has appeared on television, radio and in the press, on issues related to corporate fraud and has published in professional journals.

Peter Sperling, Ph.D.

Dr. Peter Sperling is an Associate Professor of Finance and Economics. Dr. Sperling received his doctorate in International Business from Pace University and was Valedictorian of his graduating class. Prior to becoming a professor at the Touro Graduate School of Business, Dr. Sperling taught at Pace University, Marymount Manhattan College, Yeshiva University, and Southeast Missouri State University. In addition, Dr. Sperling served as an officer in the corporate treasury department of AT&T and has often been quoted on CBS National Radio, commenting on the Federal Reserve Bank interest rate movements.

Richard Williams, M.A.

Dick Williams is a Professor and Director of Professional Development and Career Services at the Touro Graduate School of Business Touro College. His academic background includes Professor of Marketing & Management and Assistant Dean at the Sy Syms School of Business, Yeshiva University and nine years as a Tenured Associate Professor at the School of Professional Studies, St. John's University. Professor Williams also has an extensive professional background in the Broadcast/Advertising business. He served as VP Sales and Marketing manager at Metromedia and later at Post Newsweek Broadcasting and VP of Marketing of Katz Media. He did his undergraduate work at Fordham, received his MBA from St. John's and completed his doctoral studies at NYU.

Kenneth Bigel, Ph.D.

Dr. Bigel is an Associate Professor of Finance and the Chairman of the Business Department for Lander College for Men, a division of Touro College. He has previously taught in the Stern School of Business at NYU, and at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Education. He has been published in Journal of Business Ethics, Delta Pi Epsilon Journal and Financial Services Review. He received his doctorate from New York University.

Robert Bigelow, J.D.

Robert W. Bigelow comes to Touro College to serve as Associate Director of Legal Studies from many years of legal practice and academia. Professor Bigelow has worked as an attorney in both the private and public sector. He currently maintains a part-time practice in New York City handling select employment and criminal cases and served the Legal Aid Society-Criminal Defense Division as a Supervising Attorney in Manhattan and prior to that as a trial attorney in the Bronx office. Professor Bigelow is a regular guest commentator on Court TV/tru TV (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2322544/). He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1993) and studied at the undergraduate level at UCLA and the University of New Mexico (B.A. w/dist. 1990).

Gina-Marie Reitano, J.D.

Gina-Marie Reitano is an attorney in private practice on Staten Island, New York. A graduate of Hofstra Law School where she was an editor of Law Review, Ms. Reitano practices in the areas of matrimonial law, estate law, and guardianship law. Ms. Reitano is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey and several Federal District Courts including the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Reitano is a certified fiduciary by the Office of Court Administration, and has recently been sworn in as a Court Examiner by the Appellate Division, Second Department.

Gerald Kent Speal, J.D.

Gerald Kent Speal, the Director of Legal Studies at the Graduate School of Business Touro College, has been engaged in the private practice of law for three decades as a partner in his own firm, and has received many awards of recognition. He has taught full-time at the City University of New York and the State University of New York where he became a tenured professor and received an award for Excellence in Teaching from the State University of New York, teaching sociology, criminal justice, business and law related courses and publishing in the field of law and sociology. He received his B.A. from CCNY, his J.D. from the New York University School of Law and his M.A. from NYU Graduate School.
Christina A. Murphy, Ed.D. PHR

Christina A. Murphy, Ed.D. PHR

For more than 16 years, Professor Christina A. Murphy has worked in various human resources roles, from training to talent management, in industries such as technology, education and publishing. She currently leads the staff development operation at a major corporation. Professor Murphy holds an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership and an MS in Human Resource Management, both from Fordham University, a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Hofstra University, and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certificate from the Society for Human Resource Management. She has taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is invited often to speak about performance management, talent strategy and career development to corporate, higher education and other audiences.
