September 10, 2008 - Human Resource Management Leader Michael Williams Named Dean Of The Graduate School Of Business For Touro College

Dr. Bernard Lander, founder and president of Touro College, has announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Williams as dean of the Graduate School of Business for Touro College.

"Dr. Williams is a recognized human resource management authority, seasoned educational leader, and industry veteran," Dr. Lander said. "He possesses the vision, leadership, and business acumen necessary to build Touro University's Graduate School of Business into a world-class business school preparing generations of business leaders to enable global business in the 21st century."

IBM Visits GSB

Recently, we were visited by Ms. Vera Chota, manager of Global Leader University Recruiting at IBM. During the visit Ms. Chota viewed a presentation about the Touro Graduate School of Business and lunched with Dean Charles Snow and Professor Dick Williams. Among the topics discussed were opportunities for our students to obtain internships and entry level jobs.

March 25, 2008 - GSB Welcomes The Center for Israeli Innovation

A coaching session for Israeli entrepreneurs was held at the Touro Graduate School of Business on Tuesday, March 25th. The session was conducted by the Center for Israeli Innovation, a joint venture of the Touro Graduate School of Business and Young Startup Ventures, Inc.

More than 60 participants, consisting of Israeli entrepreneurs and U.S.-based investors and professionals, received guidance and advice from professional investors. Workshops on entrepreneurial opportunities in technology and life sciences were also conducted. The coaching session was designed to prepare the Israeli entrepreneurs for their more formal presentations at Young Startup's U.S./Israel Summit Conference.

March 16, 2009 - The 150 Hour Rule for Master of Science in Accounting

Beginning August 1, 2009, New York State requires candidates for the CPA exam to have completed 150 semester hours in lieu of the current 120 hour requirement. Anticipating this professional requirement, Touro College's Graduate School of Business, is now offering a Master of Science in Accounting degree.

March 9, 2009 - Touro Graduate School of Business announces Certificate Program in Paralegal Studies

While lawyers assume ultimate responsibility for legal work, they routinely collaborate with paralegals delegating key responsibilities and processes related to legal practices. As a result, paralegals are commonly employed in industries including: law; insurance, real estate, banking, finance, and government.
