COC 650: Voice Disorders

Course Description This course addresses assessment and treatment protocols used in the speech-language pathologist's scope of practice as they relate to a variety of etiologies of medically diagnosed voice disorders. Instrumental and non-instrumental assessment and treatment of the parameters of respiration, phonation and resonance are included. Vocal hygiene techniques in the home and school settings are noted with regard to school-age children.
