GENERAL INFORMATION and ACCREDITATION
Touro College's Nursing programs are registered by the New York State Education Department, Office of the Professions, State Education Building, 2nd Floor, 89 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12234 (518-474-3817).
Touro College was chartered by the Board of Regents of the State of New York in June 1970.
Touro College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104 (Tel: 267-284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
This accreditation status covers Touro College and its branch campuses, locations and instructional sites in the New York area, as well as branch campuses and programs in Berlin, Paris, Jerusalem, Moscow, and Florida.
The BS, Dual Degree AAS/BS, and RN-BS programs are scheduled for an on-site evaluation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in September 2014. As part of this process, the program is asking that our communities of interest provide written input into the deliberations of the evaluation team. The CCNE will be accepting written and signed comments until August 16, 2014. Please send all comments and letters of support to:
