Nursing Program Mission

The Department of Nursing mission is to prepare qualified nursing professionals who can influence the health care environment and enhance the quality of life for individuals, families and society. This reflects the mission of Touro College to serve the larger community in keeping with the Judaic commitment to social justice, intellectual pursuit and service to humanity. The faculty is committed to educating the students by building upon a curriculum based on Orem's Self-Care Theory. Ultimately, the department's goal is to produce trained nurses from our local communities that are under-represented in the profession.
