The Touro College Nursing Program is an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program offered in Brooklyn, New York. The goal of the Nursing program is to prepare students to become nurses working to improve patient outcomes, quality, and safety. Clinical nursing courses are offered in the Fall and Spring semesters.
The Nursing curriculum provides a strong foundation in general education, biological sciences, and social sciences, as well as nursing science. The Associate's Degree Nurse is educated to function in a variety of structured health care settings and provide direct care to patients with well-defined health care needs.
Students participate in clinical experiences during each of the four semesters in the program, which utilizes a variety of private and public acute care hospitals in Brooklyn, Staten Island and New York City. In addition, the department has a well-equipped simulation lab and a Nursing Computer Resource Center.
The program is registered by the New York State Education Department. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
