Curriculum Overview

The Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program is a part-time one (fast track) or two-year, 18-credit program, designed for the working physical therapist, which leads to a Certificate in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. The curriculum combines intensive clinical courses with on-line mentoring, and a supervised clinical experience both in the resident's present place of work as well as a specialized residency site. Focused on evidenced based practice, the curriculum helps to prepare the resident for the Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) exam. A complimentary OCS preparatory course is provided.

Our educational philosophy is based on a commitment to excellence in clinical practice and is directed by the "Description of Specialty Practice" published by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties for an Orthopedic Certified Specialist.
