RESPONSIBILITIES

The OT, in collaboration with Managing Director of Low Vision Services, will develop and implement a Neurologic Vision Rehabilitation Program. The OT will provide occupational therapy services to individuals with vision-affecting stroke or brain injury, research and evaluate evidence based practices of neurologic vision rehabilitation, including vision restoration therapies.
In addition to the duties listed, the OT is required to document all therapy and services provided in accordance with ABVI-Goodwill, regulatory, licensing, consumer, payer, and accrediting requirements, attend departmental and multidisciplinary meetings, support various department programs as requested, and contribute to the effectiveness of the agency and the department by completing all other tasks as assigned. 4/17/2013
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from AOTA (The American Occupational Therapy Association) recognized accredited school required. Minimum one to three plus years’ related experience required; experience working with blind or visually impaired population experience preferred.
