||This is the first course in a series of four (4) required research courses within the curriculum. Students are introduced to and develop an appreciation for the essential components of research within the occupational therapy profession. Emphasis is on the development of skills required for the student to become competent in their essential role as an entry-level therapist and a consumer of research. Ethical considerations pertaining to research are addressed. The major focus of this course will be joining a research group led by a faculty member, formulating a research question, and writing a critical review of the literature in occupational therapy and related fields.
