DPT 795-796: Research Project I, II

Course Description The culmination of the transitional doctoral program in physical therapy, in which students carry out a significant research project under the supervision of a faculty or clinical advisor as partial fulfillment for the requirements of the Post- Professional DPT Degree in Physical Therapy at Touro College. DPT 795 and 796 are designed to both accommodate and encourage student interest in independent research. These courses provide students with the opportunity for collaborative work with faculty and/or clinical mentors on important and significant clinical problems of common interest that can contribute to the body of knowledge in physical therapy and improve clinical practice. In addition, students are encouraged to pursue advanced academic study and to pursue professional careers in physical therapy that offer research experiences.
