Dr. Rosalie Unterman is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology. She received her B.A. and M.S. from Brooklyn College/CUNY and her Ph.D. from New York University. Dr. Unterman is the Clinical Director of the Graduate Program and the Director of the Touro Speech and Hearing Center. She is responsible for overseeing both clinic and externship placements. She has more than 30 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist and supervisor of students in various settings, including schools, clinical sites and group homes. In addition to her supervisory responsibilities, Dr. Unterman teaches graduate clinical seminars. She is ASHA-certified and New York State licensed, and holds certification as a Teacher of Speech & Hearing Handicapped (TSSH). She is a member of ASHA, NYSSLHA, NYCSLHA and the Council of Programs in Communication and Science Disorders (CAPCSD), and is on the board of SpeechPathology.com. She has presented at ASHA and at NYSSLHA. She is also a member of the Metropolitan Council of University Clinic Directors in Communicative Sciences and Disorders.
